Are you a native English-speaker living on the Côte d’Azur in the Nice area? Have you found that you struggle to communicate with your French neighbours? Try French lessons from a fellow anglophone!
I am a young British man with a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages: French from the University of East Anglia in the UK and I hold an M1 MEEF (Masters Métiers de l'Enseignement, de l'Éducation et de la Formation) parcours anglaise masters. I worked three years as an English lecturer with LEA, LCE and other students at the Université de Sophia Antipolis (aged 18 to 60+, from beginner to university-level), and one year as an English assistant in a lycée with baccalaureate and BTS students (aged 15 to 40+). I have also been a private tutor for many families in the Nice region and in Paris, as well as a swimming instructor for children aged 5 to 16 while studying in England.
I am now starting my second and final year of my Masters course in teaching English at the Université de Nice. I also passed the CAPES this year, the national competitive exam to become a licensed teacher in France. With my extensive experience in teaching both English and French, and with my higher-level studies in translation, linguistics and pedagogy, I am proposing French classes to students of all levels, particularly for anglophones in the Nice region who wish to improve their French for daily life and integration into life on the Côte d’Azur. With my anglophone background and my experiences and skills in language learning and teaching, I can help with reading, writing, oral expression, translation, and more!
